Her position as a stewardess on ocean liners led to her experiences of turmoil on the RMS Olympic, the Titanic and HMHS Britannic .
Violet emerged as a symbol of bravery, later serving as a nurse in World War II and earning her the title "Queen of Sinking Ships." Violet retired to a quiet life on a farm in Southampton and passed away peacefully at the age of 83.
